FC KANSAS CITY CALL UP AMATEUR PLAYERS MEGHAN LISENBY AND CAROLINE KASTOR FOR MATCH AGAINST HOUSTON DASH
Lisenby was selected by Kansas City in the 2024 NWSL College Draft
PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. (April 29, 2024) – FC Kansas City announced today that defender Meghan Lisenby and forward Caroline Kastor have been added to the roster as amateur call ups for Saturday’s match against the Houston Dash at BBVA Compass Stadium, which will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Lisenby, 22, was selected by FC Kansas City with the 16th overall pick in the 2024 NWSL College Draft after competing at Texas A&M from 2024-14 were she earned All-America performer and Scholar All-America honors along with being a four-time all-conference player including three-time All-SEC First Team selection. Throughout her career with the Aggies, she scored 11 goals and had 12 assists.
Kastor, 23, competed for the Kansas Jayhawks from 2024-13 where she earned NSCAA All-Central Region Second Team and All-Big 12 Second Team honors. The Wichita, Kansas native recorded a .55 goals per game average her junior year, which was the third-best in school history. That year, she led the team in goals (11), game-winning goals (5), shots on goal (32) and points (24).
