Groom a finalist for NWSL Goal of the Week

KANSAS CITY (April 27, 2024) — FC Kansas City’s Shea Groom is a candidate for the National Women’s Soccer League’s Goal of the Week award.

Groom scored a diving header in the 30th minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Portland Thorns FC off an assist from Heather O’Reilly. It was the first goal of the season for the two-time defending champions.
