LETTER TO THE FANS FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER
Dear FC Kansas City fans,
Thank you for the amazing support you have provided FC Kansas City Blues this past season. Your support, whether through the purchase of season tickets, group/single game tickets, and following our team on the road helped get us to where we are today, BACK TO BACK NWSL CHAMPIONS!
This has been my first full year as the General Manager of the team and as such I have witnessed how much many of you care for our team. So on behalf of the entire organization, I would like to thank you for creating a great atmosphere at Swope Park, for being especially rowdy in key matchups and for proudly wearing your FCKC Blues colors. Please know that your passion and energy is very much appreciated by our whole club. We are proud to be your team and we strive to represent you and Kansas City in the best possible manner – “There’s No City like Kansas City.”
The goal of this letter is both simple and transparent ………..we thoroughly appreciate your support and we want you and your friends back next year!
Last season was filled with great moments. Here are my TOP 10 personal highlights (I’m sure you all have your own favorites and please feel free to forward yours to us at dmoreno@kcprosoccer.com):
# 10 Drafting 2 players I coached in youth soccer – Shea Groom and Kaysie Clark. I was very proud and happy for both of them.
# 9 Playing the home opener at Sporting Park
# 8 The end of the season unbeaten run – we challenged the players before the regular season game in Chicago and told them that an 8-game unbeaten run would result in a championship…….they responded!
# 7 Shea’s headed goal in Houston – it brought back memories of many hours of training on the Polo fields in south KC
# 6 Watching the players in practices leading up to the playoff games – the intensity and focus could be seen, heard and felt
# 5 Amy LePeilbet’s season long performances
# 4 Our late equalizer in Chicago – that was an important goal that boosted our end of the season unbeaten run
# 3 Watching our USWNT players win and celebrate the World Cup championship
# 2 Amy Rodriguez’s speech during the Lauren Holiday retirement ceremony
# 1 Celebrating the championship win with the team in the locker room directly after the “on-field” ceremonies and celebrations
While we are certainly happy with, and proud of our back to back championships we are NOT SATISFIED. We are on the QU3ST for a three-peat! Our players understand what it takes to be successful and to accomplish the goals set for them by our ambitious coaching staff. Our players, coaches and front office staff are proud of our winning culture and are determined to keep it going. Our aim is to maintain and surpass the high standards we have set for ourselves and to be the club that is respected by our opponents both on and off the field. As you know, we have already been active this off season and we will continue to be aggressive in filling team needs. We have (and always had) a plan in place and although we have enjoyed success over the past three years we are still hungry to continue to get better.
As we commence into the next chapter of our remarkable three year experience in the NWSL, we want you to be a part of our ever growing family. We believe the product we are providing on the field and the value of attending our games is second to none. However, there will be an increase in our 2024 ticket prices. Although attending our games will certainly still be very affordable there will be some increase. We are pleased to announce, however, with the approval of our ownership, we are going to be able to offer the same season ticket prices to all who attended last season until November 30th, 2024.
As well as winning championships, we are also constantly striving to do what we can to reward your loyalty and your passion for the Blues. With this in mind, we are providing the red carpet treatment to all who lock up 2024 season tickets prior to November 30th.
As well as having no price increase, fans who have already purchased 2024 season tickets along with those who purchase before November 30th will be eligible to win one of the following unique prizes:
• Opportunity to keep the NWSL trophy for a week
• A photo op in the locker room with one of our players prior our season opener
• Pre-game field pass to sit on the team bench during warm ups
• Opportunity to join the team for breakfast on game day
I am very aware that we are fortunate to have a NWSL team in Kansas City and we realize that many communities throughout the country would love to have such a franchise. This is reflected by the amount of out-of-state season ticket holders we have. It wasn’t that long ago that Kansas City was a non-factor in women’s soccer. Since then, our franchise has contributed to KC’s claim to be the country’s “Soccer Capital.” We are honored to have you as a part of our family and hope, if you have not done so already, you will take advantage of the perks listed above and become one of our valuable season ticket holders in 2024.
Those of you who are not season ticket holders yet and wish to take advantages of the opportunities outlined here please contact one of our ticket reps:

-Aaron Jacobs 913 742 7050 ext. 7212 - aajacobs@kcprosoccer.com
To conclude, I would like to guarantee that we will continue to work hard, both on and off the field and to be innovative in our attempt to grow in partnership with you - our FC Kansas City Blues supporters.
Sincerely,
Huw Williams
FC Kansas City General Manager
