Vlatko Andonovski, Head Coach

Vlatko joins FC Kansas City as Head Coach with an incredible soccer pedigree that includes an illustrious professional soccer career as well as coaching some of the country’s finest young soccer players. Vlatko holds an “A” License, NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA Premier Diploma, and is the current Head Coach of the Missouri Comets, a professional indoor soccer team in the MISL. He has held positions as Director of Coaching for Futura FC, Sporting Blue Valley ECNL Director, and assistant collegiate coach. He was head coach of the Kansas City Kings of the PASL, and head coach of the girls ODP program for Missouri. He is the Co-Founder and Director of Coaching at KHMAC Futbol Club. As a youth coach, he has won four (4) Missouri State Championships and a Youth National Championship.

Vlatko played professionally for 6 seasons in Europe for clubs such as Rbotnicki FC, Vardar, and Makedonija GP. He played indoor professionally in the NPSL for the Wichita Wings, and in the MISL for the Kansas City Comets, California Cougars, and the Philadelphia Kixx. During his time in the MISL he received several accolades, including two All-Star selections for the Kansas City Comets.

Vlatko resides in Kearney, MO, with his wife & three children, Dargana, Luka & Daria.


Milan_Ivanovic_Headshot Milan Ivanovic, Assistant Coach

Milan joins FC Kansas City as a full time Assistant Coach. During the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season, he contributed to the Technical Staff with his knowledge and hard work. In addition, Milan has been no stranger from the FC Kansas City ownership as he also plays for the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) Missouri Comets. In four seasons with the Comets, the Belgrade, Serbia native has played an important role for the team’s success. His 20 goals, and 16 assists were crucial for Coach Vlatko Andonovski’s team to win the 2024/14 Major Indoor Soccer League Championship as well as the 2024/15 Major Arena Soccer League Central Division title.


n730o9outurlaqf2 Matt Briggs, Sports Scientist and Assistant Coach

Matt joins FC Kansas City as the team’s Sports Scientist and Assistant Coach after completing his ninth season as the head men’s soccer coach at Bellevue University in 2024, after serving two seasons as the Bruins’ assistant coach from 2024-06.

In his nine seasons as head coach, Briggs amassed a 101-56-15 (.631) overall record, guiding the Bruins to six conference or independent tournament championships, five conference regular season titles and five NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship appearances.

Originally from Lincoln, England, Briggs began his coaching career working with youth at the Lincoln City Football Club at their Center of Excellence. He has his USSF A, NSCAA Premier Diploma, UEFA B, FA Youth Module 1, 2 and (3 ongoing) and his Coerver Youth Diploma.


Scott Moody, Strength & Conditioning Coach

Scott Moody is the founder and CEO for the not-for-profit Training and Research Institute for Athletic Development (TRIAD). After ten years of success at CAP, one of the largest youth sports performance centers in the country, he is now focusing his attention on developing a curriculum that bridges the gap between training for sport and on-field performance. Along with instructing young players at the F.I.T. Academy, he is also working closely with well known equipment manufactures such as Cybex, Woodway, Myotest, Fitness Anywhere and Fusion Sport, to research the effectiveness of their products on this population, and create programming and educational resources to advance the understanding of sports performance training in youth athletics.


Kelly Miller, Goalkeeper Coach

In 1999, along with Francis, Miller made the move to KU to train the goalkeepers. He became a full-time assistant the following spring and has since helped the Jayhawks reach the NCAA Tournament five times (2001, `03, `04, `08, `11), and capture KU’s first Big 12 soccer title in 2024. Along with coaching the Jayhawks, Miller is a Region II Olympic Development Program staff coach, a Kansas state ODP coach and holds USSF licensing. A goalkeeper during his playing days, Miller trains the KU keepers along with the defenders to unite the two into a cohesive unit. In 2024, he was responsible for coaching the squad to the lowest goals against average in program history at 0.55 and fewest goals allowed with 13. His duties also include serving as the program’s recruiting coordinator.
